Maddie Ziegler is a huge inspiration and such a beautiful and talented girl

I don't think we should be blaming Maddie for taking the role as much as the adults in her life. Maddie's whole life is dance, so I wouldn't necessarily expect her to have the time to spend researching/understanding causes like this, especially she doesn't know anyone with autism. Idk, I know it's shitty of her to do regardless, I just feel icky about judging a 13 yo by the same standards I judge an adult.

I definitely think it’s far worse for her mum and manager and sia

but maddies hands aren’t clean

what role?

any one of you would do the same in her position!  So would any of the girls who’ve ever been on Dance Moms. Quit with the Maddie dissecting. You all sound like spoiled little kids.

NO WE WOULDNT THATS WHY WE’RE MAD ABOUT IT YOU DUMBASS

In a world where not even all adults can agree upon whether or not a non autistic person acting in a role of an autistic character can be done tastefully, I think its unfair, silly, and most of all, presumptuous to put Maddie down at all for accepting this role.

First of all, she may not even realize or understand that these negative opinions about this situation exist. You are assuming that she is knowledgeable about these opinions and neglected them, still taking the job while not caring about offending others. I am sure this is not the case.

Believe what you want, but the fact of the matter is that Maddie likely took the role before she even knew what it was, and that she just wanted to work with Sia again, and that the role was eventually explained to her in a way that doesnt make it appear harmful.

Whether or not it IS harmful is NOT my point. My point is that anyone implying that Maddie did this in some kind of ignorant or unfriendly way is ridiculous. Shes the little girl in all of this, and should be the literal last person to “blame” in a situation like this. There are dozens upon hundreds of people working on this movie, so for you all to attack the main actress, when she has little to no creative input, is ridiculous. As far as the role goes, she may very well not understand that people may be offended by it, so I would appreciate if you all didn’t just jump to conclusions before we even heard anything about it from her.

….literally maddie is ignorant to whats going on if she thought it was ok to take this part…wtf @hugemaddiefan

also i don’t think that maddie is completely to blame (more her manager/mom and stuff)

Lol… Eh ok i wont say anymore because i dont know all too much about it but yes i think its fair to blame others and yes i was saying maybe Maddie is ignorant about this along with people around her, plenty of people are still ignorant about this issue to be honest

😭

Time flies and what makes me more sad is how much Maddie has changed towards Abby she knows Abby has done really mean things and she seems uncomfortable around here, Maddie was always crying for Miss Miller and this time she was there just looking and a little awkward, I can tell their relationship is not the same anymore.

Finally Maddie understood there is a world out there for her WITHOUT ABBY, I also hope that she understands that she needs better training and I hope that when she goes to LA for work she takes classes somewhere else
